Primary Mathematics Subject Leader Networks

A termly session for mathematics subject leaders to keep up to date with current initiatives in mathematics, share good practice and network with colleagues from local schools

Charge The charge for attending all 3 subject leader network meetings across the school year is £100 which will be invoiced after the autumn term meeting.

Teaching Number Bonds: Developing Understanding and Recall

This half day course will give teachers and teaching assistants in Years 1 and 2 the opportunity to explore how to teach number bonds effectively to support learners in developing conceptual understanding and recall of number bonds and related subtraction facts.  This course will provide ideas and activities using concrete resources and representations to help learners memorise and reason with number bonds.

Teaching Times Tables-Developing Understanding and Recall

This half day course will give teachers and teaching assistants in Years 3 and 4 the opportunity to explore how to teach multiplication and related division facts effectively to support learners in developing conceptual understanding and recall.  This course will provide ideas and activities to engage and enthuse learners using concrete resources and representations to help learners memorise and reason with times tables and related division facts.
